We are no longer in the luxurious position where we can overlook opportunities to generate green energy.

Every generated kWh of green energy saves approximately half a kilo of CO₂. By using water wheels it is soon several tons per year. An average installation of 7 kW generates 50 MWh per year and therefore saves 25 tons of CO₂. A well designed hydropower plant generates annually on average 80 per cent of the maximum feasible electricity .This means that the components in the installation are used to their maximum capacity. In comparison: using wind energy is between 20 and 25% of the maximum and sun energy is around 10%.

A water wheel is 100% safe for fish and water life. There are no pressure differences or high speeds involved which can be fatal for the fish.
